12-Lesson Structured Sewing Programme for Children (Ages 8–14)

It is a valuable life skill that teaches patience, creativity, problem-solving and confidence.
Class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure quality guidance for every student.
The Young Makers Sewing Academy is a structured 12-lesson programme designed to guide children step-by-step from complete beginners to confident young creators. Through carefully designed lessons and hands-on projects, students learn both hand sewing and sewing machine skills while developing the ability to complete their own projects independently.
With small class sizes and close guidance, each child receives personalised support throughout their learning journey.
What Your Child Will Learn:
Throughout the 12 sessions, students will build a strong foundation in sewing while gradually developing more advanced skills.
They will learn:
- Sewing machine safety and operation
- Threading the machine and winding bobbins
- Essential hand stitches
- Accurate straight stitching and seam control
- Understanding simple patterns
- Installing zippers and creating pockets
- Lining techniques and structured construction
- Decorative personalisation and finishing techniques
- Planning and completing an independent sewing project
By the end of the programme, each student will complete a final project and gain the confidence to continue sewing independently.

Full payment is required to secure a slot.
- The programme must be completed within 4 months from the start date.
- Up to 3 make-up lessons are allowed, subject to availability.
- Make-up lessons must be completed within the programme duration.
- No refunds once the programme has commenced.
